CenturyLink resolves Internet issue by updating domestic routers

On April 22, eight CenturyLink Technology Solutions routers reached memory capacity, which caused some of our business customers to experience Internet traffic latency and some packet loss. This issue with Internet service does not reflect the level of customer service we strive daily to provide our customers, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this caused our customers.

CenturyLink completed memory updates to impacted domestic routers and is confident the issue and its impact on Internet traffic in the U.S. has been resolved. Memory updates to the international routers have been scheduled during the respective local maintenance windows.

In addition, we continue to be in close communication with customers who were impacted and are proactively auditing similar Internet routers, other hardware and our network to help ensure this type of service interruption does not occur in the future.
